# What Fransys does

> A managed European PaaS. You describe your application; Fransys runs it on machines at a European hosting provider, monitors it and scales it under a budget cap.

## In one sentence

You describe your application in the console: its code, its database, its domain. Fransys reserves the machines at the European hosting provider of your choice, installs Kubernetes, deploys the application with an HTTPS address, then monitors it and backs it up. You write no YAML and no server configuration.

## What Fransys takes care of

- **The machines**: Fransys orders them from the hosting provider (Hetzner, Scaleway, Outscale; OVHcloud coming soon), on its own account or on yours.
- **Kubernetes**: installed, updated and run for you. You pick a [criticality](https://docs.fransys.cloud/en/clusters/criticite/), and Fransys works out the number of machines.
- **Deployment**: from a Docker image or a GitHub or GitLab repository. If a check fails, Fransys rolls back on its own and the previous version stays online.
- **Networking**: load balancer, a `fransysapp.com` address, your own domain, HTTPS certificates.
- **Databases**: PostgreSQL, MariaDB and Redis, managed and backed up.
- **Monitoring**: service health, logs, CPU and memory, on the Monitoring page.
- **Budget**: a price shown before anything is created, a cap per cluster, credits used by the hour.

## Your agent prepares, you approve

Your agent (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex…) connects to Fransys through the MCP. It reads your projects, logs and metrics, and prepares **plans**: a costed list of actions. A plan does nothing until a person on your team approves it in the console. See [Connect an agent](https://docs.fransys.cloud/en/agents/brancher-un-agent/) and [Plans](https://docs.fransys.cloud/en/agents/plans/).

## Where your data lives

In the country and at the hosting provider you choose when you create the cluster. The console flags regions outside the European Union, and you can show only EU regions.

## What Fransys doesn't do

- **No health data hosting (HDS).** Fransys is not HDS certified.
- **SecNumCloud** is a qualification held by the hosting provider Outscale, not by Fransys.
- Fransys doesn't write your code. Your agent can tell you what to change in your repository (a port, a variable), but it never pushes anything.

## Getting help

The help button at the top of the console opens a conversation with the Fransys team. You can also write to kevin@fransys.cloud.
