# Providers and regions

> The European hosting providers Fransys installs your clusters on, and how to choose.

Source: https://docs.fransys.cloud/en/reference/fournisseurs-et-regions/ Checked against the console on 2026-10-23.

## The hosting providers

| Hosting provider | Headquarters | Strengths |
|---|---|---|
| **Hetzner** | Germany | The best value for money, for development and small production workloads. |
| **Scaleway** | France | French infrastructure, GPU machines depending on stock. |
| **Outscale** | France | SecNumCloud qualified by ANSSI (the provider, not Fransys). |
| **OVHcloud** | France | Coming soon: not offered yet when you create a cluster. |

The countries: France, Germany, Finland and Poland. The list of regions, their machines and their prices change: the console always shows the current state when you create a cluster, with the price of each region's cheapest machine.

## What the console flags

- **Data in the EU**, or **outside EU** for a region outside the European Union;
- **GPU** for a region that offers GPU machines;
- “requires your own account” when the region requires [your cloud account](https://docs.fransys.cloud/en/clusters/compte-cloud/);
- “no machines available here” when the provider is out of stock.

## Choosing

| Need | Hosting provider |
|---|---|
| The tightest budget | Hetzner |
| GPUs | Scaleway, depending on stock |
| Hosting in France | Scaleway, Outscale (OVHcloud coming soon) |
| A SecNumCloud qualified environment | Outscale |

You can have several clusters at different providers, and spread your projects across them.

## Changing provider

A cluster doesn't change provider or region. Create another cluster, then attach your projects to it. See [Leaving Fransys](https://docs.fransys.cloud/en/securite/partir-de-fransys/#change-hosting-provider-without-leaving).
