Data Sovereignty
Fransys is a 100% European infrastructure platform. Your data never passes through American infrastructures or those subject to extra-European legislation.
Exclusively European hosting
Fransys connects only to European cloud providers:
- Hetzner — Germany (Nuremberg, Falkenstein), Finland
- Scaleway — France (Paris), Poland (Warsaw)
- OVH — France, Germany, and other EU regions
- Outscale — France (recently added)
- And more European providers to come
When creating a cluster, you choose the country and region where your data will be hosted. This choice is explicit, visible on the interactive map, and doesn't change without your decision.
Why it matters
Cloud Act and extraterritorial legislation
American hyperscalers (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) are subject to the Cloud Act, which authorizes US authorities to access data stored by US companies — even if that data is physically hosted in Europe.
By using Fransys with European providers, your data is hosted by companies under European law, in European datacenters, and is only subject to European law.
Regulatory compliance
For many industries (healthcare, finance, public sector, e-commerce), data location is not optional — it's a regulatory obligation. Fransys lets you guarantee that your data stays in the country of your choice.
Proximity and latency
Hosting in Europe is also a performance choice. If your users are in Europe, a server in Paris or Nuremberg offers much lower latency than a server in Virginia.
You stay in control
- You choose the country — No automatic distribution to regions you haven't approved
- You choose the provider — Each provider has its own certifications and commitments
