Other services
Services that are neither an application nor a database, such as WebSocket or the secret manager.
Where to find them
Section titled “Where to find them”In the project, click Add a service, then Other service types. The list depends on your account: the console only shows the types available to you.
On the diagram, these services sit in the Real time and Data and secrets columns.
WebSocket
Section titled “WebSocket”A WebSocket server (Soketi), compatible with the Pusher protocol, for live notifications, chat, or dashboards that update themselves.
Add it, then link it to your application: the application receives the connection variables (host, app ID, key and secret). A Laravel application, for example, can then broadcast its events with the Pusher driver, to your own server.
Secret manager
Section titled “Secret manager”A secrets vault, to link to the services that need it. For simple secrets (an API key, a password), a protected variable is enough: see Variables and secrets.
Standalone service
Section titled “Standalone service”A service that runs on its own, without being linked to your code. You configure it like an application, in its panel.
An image that isn’t in the list
Section titled “An image that isn’t in the list”Anything that runs in a Docker container can be added as an Application: n8n, Metabase, Ollama, an internal tool… Enter its image and its port.
