Providers and regions
The European hosting providers Fransys installs your clusters on, and how to choose.
The hosting providers
Section titled “The hosting providers”| Hosting provider | Headquarters | Strengths |
|---|---|---|
| Hetzner | Germany | The best value for money, for development and small production workloads. |
| Scaleway | France | French infrastructure, GPU machines depending on stock. |
| Outscale | France | SecNumCloud qualified by ANSSI (the provider, not Fransys). |
| OVHcloud | France | Coming soon: not offered yet when you create a cluster. |
The countries: France, Germany, Finland and Poland. The list of regions, their machines and their prices change: the console always shows the current state when you create a cluster, with the price of each region’s cheapest machine.
What the console flags
Section titled “What the console flags”- Data in the EU, or outside EU for a region outside the European Union;
- GPU for a region that offers GPU machines;
- “requires your own account” when the region requires your cloud account;
- “no machines available here” when the provider is out of stock.
