Domain and HTTPS
The address Fransys provides, your own domain, the DNS record to create and the HTTPS certificate.
The address Fransys provides
Section titled “The address Fransys provides”Every public application gets a fransysapp.com address, over HTTPS, from its first deployment. It appears in the service settings and on its card in the diagram.
Add your domain
Section titled “Add your domain”In the service panel, domains section, enter the full name, for example app.your-domain.com, without https:// or a path. The domain applies at the next deployment.
Create the DNS record
Section titled “Create the DNS record”Once the domain is added, the console shows the record to create at your registrar: Type, Name, Value and TTL, each one copyable.
- Depending on the registrar, the name is written in full or only the part before your domain (for example
app). - If A or AAAA records already exist for this name, delete them.
- It can take up to a few hours to take effect.
The HTTPS certificate
Section titled “The HTTPS certificate”It follows on its own once the DNS has taken effect. There’s nothing to request or renew.
Redirect a domain
Section titled “Redirect a domain”Add a redirect sends one domain to another (for example your-domain.com to www.your-domain.com). The source domain must point to this service, with the same type of record as one of your own domains.
